TECNOMAGNETE

Electro-Permanent Magnet Die
Clamping
TECNOMAGNETE -
These magnetic modules, based on Quad-Press technology, are designed expressly
for mold clamping on metal stamping presses. Quad-Stamp is provided with a
specific magnetic layout and neutral areas for scrap removal.
The system includes a proximity switch to ensure the die is within 0.007
inches of the bolster or ram surface before clamping is allowed. The system uses
as little as 1 3/8" (35 mm) of
shut height per plate on smaller presses and 2 1/8 inches (54 mm) of shut height
per plate on larger presses. The magnetic flux generated in Mag phase penetrates
the die for 0.8 inches (20 mm) at a controlled depth, enabling it to hold it in
safely without interfering with parts inside the die. The 3.15 x 3.14 inches (80
mm x 80 mm) poles hold 2,200 pounds (1,000 kg) per pole while the optional
smaller poles hold 770 pounds. The Quad-Stamp
cannot overheat and is not affected by electrical interruption.
Advantages:
- No need for Common Die Shoes
- Universal Clamping - Quick and
Versatile
- No Die Sagging - High Force (constant
and infinite)
- No Die Modifications
- Easy Installation
- No Maintenance
- Quick Die Release (1 to 4 seconds)
- Shorter Die Changes
- Increased Uptime
Fail Safe:
- Loose of power has no affect on the holding
power of the
TECNOMAGNETE
Quadsystem
- The
TECNOMAGNETE
Quadsystem is tied into the presses E-stop
circuitry
- Two handed system switches magnet's
poles "permanently". The permanent-electro magnet can only be turned off
(poles reversed) if power is applied again.
-
TECNOMAGNETE
has two control choices to do this:
- Turn keyed switch (spring return)
simultaneously while pushing a button
- Touch screen controller requires
operator to enter a code and then push two buttons
- Optional -
TECNOMAGNETE
control system to give real time holding force
feedback
The QUADSYSYTEM patented technology
A
QUADSYSTEM is featured by a combination of reversible magnets (blue)
on the base of each magnetic poles + "power" magnets (red),
surrounding the poles (yellow).
This structure generates a working surface creating a multiple magnetic
stitching, thus granting a perfect clamping of any work piece.
The double reversible magnet characteristic allows the QUADSYSTEM chuck
to move the internal magnetic field outside, thus activating the working
surface.
DEMAG phase- "OFF" position
During the
DEMAG phase the magnetic flux is short-circuited inside the chuck.
No residual magnetism is present on the chuck surface.
Zero power consumption.
|
ON/OFF procedure

With the simple touch of a button is possible to energize (MAG PHASE)
and de-energize (DEMAG PHASE) the magnetic field.
After this operation, the connection can be removed and the electrical
supply is no more used.
|
MAG phase - "ON" position

The chuck will keep the work piece/mold/load safely clamped for an
indefinite period of time with 100% strength.
Zero power consumption. |
