1) TECNOMAGNETE - These magnetic modules, based on Quad-Press technology, are designed expressly for mold clamping on metal stamping presses. Quad-Stamp is provided with a specific magnetic layout and neutral areas for scrap removal. NO moving parts and FAIL SAFE.
2) Cieco Inc. (www.ciecocontrols.com) will introduce production tracking via their Automator II press control and will also have their EARS (Efficiency Analysis Reporting System) a complete production tracking system that includes both hardware and software.on display. Cieco Inc's Automator press control is one of the most advanced controls on the market and is very intuitive to setup and use. The large display and easy to follow menus are making the Automator an easy choice for the stamper wanting a short learning curve and easy future expansion. Their EARS production tracking system is the easiest system on the market for interfacing with any machine.
3) PaceSetter System Inc. (http://www.pacesettersystems.com) will introduce their Power Pallet (changes your fork truck into a die cart) Die Align (Quick Die Change Locating Kit)

3a) Ortlinghaus
hydraulically-actuated clutch/brake combined
units have been successfully used in press construction for more than 30 years.
They have proved a great success in numerous applications on account of their
compact design and good actuation properties.
In the previous model, there is a transition function involving a status in
which the brake is released while the clutch is not yet engaged. The force of
gravity acting on the press’s slide makes the system prone to undesirable
movements.
In order to combine the advantages of the clutch/brake combined unit (compact
unit mountable on one side of the clutch shaft, simple actuation) with those of
the separate clutch and brake units (transition-free clutch and brake
functions), the German company Ortlinghaus-Werke GmbH has developed the new 223
series and applied for a patent. This transition-free clutch and brake combined
unit features two concentric pistons which, when actuated by a sole pressure
line, can first build up a clutch torque before the brake is released
completely.
The newly-developed series 223 clutch and brake combined unit is a logical
development of the time-tested 123 series, and will be offered in the same wide
diversity of sizes and variations as the latter.
4)
Ortlinghaus
– Well known for its innovations in the field of press clutches and their
associated control systems – has set itself the task of
reducing the actuation times of hydraulic press clutches
even further so as to gain valuable time for status requests, e.g., during the
electronically-controlled transfer of components, and, in addition, that of
increasing machine safety by considerably shortening emergency stop and cut-off
times.
The newly-developed Ortlinghaus progressive control system
reduces the total braking time in the event of an
emergency stop by up to 60% compared to a configuration involving a
conventional control system. Furthermore, as in the case of the well-known MCB
(clutch and brake) control systems, the electrohydraulic progressive control
system permits the gentle engagement of both clutch and brake. During a gentle
braking operation, the total braking time can be cut by up to 80%. This
reduction in the control system’s operating and cut-off times is mainly due to
the reduction in the secondary times needed for filling and evacuating the
piston chamber and not to an increase in acceleration values.
The progressive control system is preset ex factory to match each required
application.
